Getting There & Logistics

Fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi, this is where your safari begins and where your private 4×4 Land Cruiser pickup takes place. Most international flights connect through Europe, the Middle East, or other African hubs.

Your safari ends at the coast. From Diani Beach on Day 11, we transfer you to Mombasa’s Moi International Airport (MBA) or the Ukunda airstrip, depending on your onward flight. If you’re flying directly out of Kenya from the coast, let us know your flight details in advance so we can time the transfer correctly.

Luggage on safari should be packed in soft-sided bags, Land Cruisers have limited rigid storage space. We recommend one main bag per person plus a small daypack for camera gear and essentials.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is this a private safari or a group tour?

This is a 100% private safari. Your 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep, driver-guide, and daily schedule are used exclusively by your travel party, you won’t be combined with other travelers.

2. What’s the luggage limit in the Land Cruiser?

Soft-sided duffel bags work best, roughly 15kg per person. Hard-shell suitcases are difficult to fit in the vehicle’s storage compartment.

3. When is the best time to do this 11-day Kenya safari?

July to October offers the Great Migration in the Masai Mara and dry-season game viewing across all parks. January and February are also strong for wildlife visibility with fewer crowds.

4. Can the itinerary be adjusted?

Yes. Park order, number of nights per destination, and accommodation category can all be tailored. This itinerary is a starting template, not a fixed route.

5. Do I need a visa to enter Kenya?

Most travelers need an eTA (electronic travel authorization) applied for online before arrival. Visa requirements aren’t included in your safari cost.

6. How many game drives happen per day?

Typically two, an early morning drive and a late afternoon drive, timed around when wildlife is most active and light is best for photography.
